* UNC improves 20-2 in national semifinal games.
* UNC increases its record for goals in an NCAA Tournament to 26.
* UNC improves to 5-1 alltime against UCLA and 2-0 against the Bruins in the NCAA Tournament.
* With her goal today, Heather O'Reilly ties Lindsay Tarpley for the team lead in points during the NCAA Tournament with 13. It was O'Reilly's sixth goal of the tournament. She has 11 goals in her last 11 games and nine total post-season goals including the ACC Tournament.
* With the shutout, goalkeeper Aly Winget now has 15 solo shutouts on the year with four of those in the NCAA Tournament. She has played 443:49 without a goal since the Florida State game on November 9.
* Sunday's matchup will be the fourth NCAA championship game between UNC and UConn. The teams also played in the 1984, 1990 and 1997 championships. They also played in the 1994 NCAA semifinals and the 2000 quarterfinals. Carolina is 14-2 alltime against UConn.
* With her assist on Friday, Alyssa Ramsey now has 70 assists in her career, two short of Mia Hamm's school record. Hamm's total of 72 is also second in NCAA history.
* Friday's win was the 80th in history for the Tar Heels in the NCAA Tournament. UNC's alltime NCAA record is now 80-5.
* UNC is now 20-0 this season against teams in the NCAA field.
* UNC will be seeking to go 27-0-0 on Sunday. No team in college women's soccer history has gone undefeated and untied while winning that many matches. UNC set the NCAA record for wins in a season with 27 in 1997 when it finished 27-0-1.
