Leadoff Classic Suspended By Rain

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- The University of North Carolina softball team's game with No. 12 Stanford was suspended due to weather conditions this afternoon and will resume Saturday, Feb. 22 at noon in Columbus, Ga. The Tar Heels trailed the Cardinal 3-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning when the game was called by the umpires.
UNC had three hits, while the Cardinal hit three solo home runs for for their three runs through four-and-a-third innings.
North Carolina is scheduled to play No. 3 Nebraska at 1 p.m. and Southern Mississippi at 9 p.m. Bracket play will begin on Sunday, Feb. 23.
