CHAPEL HILL -The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will play its first exhibition games of 2003 next weekend, hosting the annual South of the Border tournament on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 15 and 16). The tournament, which will feature a number of universities and club teams, will be the Tar Heels' first action this spring against outside competition.

The two-day event, co-hosted by Duke University, will begin with the first games at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning. Games will run simultaneously on four fields in Chapel Hill and one in Durham all day on Saturday and Sunday.
The Tar Heels won their first Atlantic Coast Conference championship last year, winning a school-record 17 games and advancing to the NCAA Final Four. Carolina's 2003 regular season will begin against Davidson on Feb. 23 at Henry Stadium in Chapel Hill.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO HENRY STADIUM
From Virginia and Points North:
Take I-85 South to Durham, N.C. Exit left at US-15/501 in Durham and follow 15/501 approximately 9 miles to Chapel Hill. Once in Chapel Hill, maintain 15/501 Bypass (Fordham Blvd.). Around the 7th stoplight, turn right on Manning Drive. Continue on Manning until first stoplight. Turn right at light onto Ridge Road. Continue on Ridge Road approximately 1/2 mile until Henry Stadium on left.
From Points West:
Take I-85 North towards Durham, N.C. Exit just past Burlington onto NC-54 East (exit #148, Chapel Hill). Follow NC-54 for approximately 20 miles to Carrboro. Go through two stoplights and stay on NC-54 until the next stoplight. Turn left at light onto Manning Drive. Continue on Manning until first stoplight. Turn right at light onto Ridge Road. Continue on Ridge Road approximately 1/2 mile until Henry Stadium on left.
From Points East:
Take I-40 West to Chapel Hill. Exit at NC-54 West (exit #273 B) and follow for approximately 4 miles. After the US-15/501 overpass, continue straight on NC-54 until the next stoplight. Turn left at stoplight onto Country Club Road. Make immediate right onto Ridge Road. Continue on Ride Road approximately 1/2 mile until Henry Stadium on right.
From Points South:
Take US-15/50 North to Chapel Hill. Exit right onto 15/501 Bypass in Chapel Hill. Turn left at first stoplight onto Manning Drive. Continue on Manning until first stoplight. Turn right at light onto Ridge Road. Continue on Ridge Road approximately 1/2 mile until Henry Stadium on left.
