CHAPEL HILL -- The University of North Carolina women's lacrosse team will host a pair of games this weekend as it hopes to snap a three-game losing streak.
Carolina, ranked No. 11 in this week's IWLCA national poll, will host George Mason on Friday at 6 p.m. (this is a change from the previous start time of 5 p.m.) and No. 6 Georgetown on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be played at Henry Stadium on the UNC campus.
The Tar Heels (3-6) are coming off three straight losses -- a home loss to Virginia on March 22 and losses to Ohio State and Penn State last weekend at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge in Columbus, Ohio.
Starting this weekend, Carolina has five non-conference regular season games remaining on its 2003 schedule, plus the ACC Tournament in Charlottesville, Va., on April 18 and 20.
UNC is led this season by junior Beth Ames, who has 17 goals and 19 points.
