Carolina will hold its annual Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m. at Kenan Stadium. Admission is free. The Hall of Honor will be open from Noon-1:30 p.m. and stadium gates 2 & 6 will be open beginning at 1 p.m. Public parking is available in the Craig Deck, Boshamer Parking Lot and Smith Center Parking Lot.
The UNC football squad will be split into a white team and a blue team and normal scoring rules will apply with only touchdowns, extra points, field goals and safeties contributing to each team's score. This is a change from the past two seasons when the game was played under modified scoring rules.
The game will consist of four quarters and a brief halftime. The first two quarters will be 15 minutes long. The coaching staff may shorten the length of the quarters in the second half and/or may have a running clock as we have done in the past.
Following the game, Carolina's players will be available for a 40-minute autograph session on the field.
Also, don't miss a special spring football edition of the "John Bunting Live!" radio show. The show will originate from Lucy's Restaurant on Rosemary Street in Chapel Hill Thursday at 7 p.m.
