Jazmine Norton Earns All-District Honors from IWLCA

DURHAM, N.C. -- University of North Carolina senior defender Jazmine Norton has been named to the 2003 Brine Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/US Lacrosse All-South Region First Team, as announced on Tuesday by Duke head coach Kerstin Kimel, chair of the IWLCA Division I All-America Committee.
Carolina's co-captain during the 2003 season, Norton started all 16 Tar Heel games in 2003. She typically marked the opposing team's best offensive player this season and finished the year with 27 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers. She started every Carolina game during the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
A total of 96 players were named to the 2003 Division I All-Region teams, including 15 Atlantic Coast Conference players.
The All-America teams will be announced next week.
