JOHN BUNTING LIVE
August 27, 2003 | Football
Aug. 27, 2003
Over the last two years Lucy's has become a popular hangout for Carolina football fans on Thursday nights during the fall. There's usually a standing room only crowd at the downtown Chapel Hill establishment and the telephone lines are already busy at 7:00 P.M., when John Bunting arrives for his weekly radio call-in show. The fun starts again this week and will continue each Thursday evening until late November.
If you're in the area and want to join the crowd, Lucy's is at the corner of Henderson and Rosemary Streets near the municipal parking garage. If you're listening to the head coach and Woody Durham, and you want to pose a question it's simple to do so. The number to call is 1-866-TAR HEEL (827-4335), and it's TOLL FREE.
You can listen to John Bunting LIVE via the Tar Heel Sports Network or the internet at www.tarheelblue.com.
This year in order to hear the coaches' shows and Carolina game broadcasts on the University's official athletic website you'll have to sign up for a subscription plan on a monthly or annual basis. The annual subscription cost will involve a savings over a month-by-month subscription. You will also be able to add the overall "college pack" option which includes nearly 40 additional collegiate athletic programs for a monthly or annual fee.
For details, go to www.tarheelblue.com and click on "audio/video" at the top of the page. Then click on "game broadcasts", and click on "sign up for team broadcasts".
John Bunting's weekly TV show also starts this weekend. The show can be seen across North Carolina and throughout the Southeast at 9:00 A.M., Saturday on FOX SPORTS SOUTH.
A re-edited version of the show can be seen only in the Triangle on Sundays at 12 Noon on WTVD, News Channel 11 in Durham.
