Bunting's First TV Show Scheduled This Weekend

The avid Carolina fan was serious this summer when he asked the question, "Why doesn't Coach Bunting have a weekly TV show?" The truth is he does have a show, but it's no longer in the regular Sunday slot on commercial stations across the state. Instead, it can be seen Saturdays at 9:00 A.M. statewide and throughout the Southeast on Fox Sports South.
You should be able to find it on your cable or satellite service. That's the same channel which brings you a lot of ACC basketball during the winter, especially on Sunday nights, so it should be easy to locate.
During this week's first show, Coach Bunting will discuss the team's progress since the first of 29 practice sessions on August 5th. He then will break down the offense and defense, and echo the simple keys to the upcoming season. The Tar Heels must be able to run the ball, and they must be able to stop the run.
Darian Durant is the first player to sit in the Sprint Spotlight. Keeping the junior quarterback from Florence, S.C., healthy and on his feet throughout the year is another key to any success which Carolina might enjoy. Last year, despite missing the better part of five games with a broken thumb, Durant became the first UNC quarterback since Paul Miller in 1971 to lead the ACC in total offense.
Saturday's show will also profile the eight former Tar Heels who will have their names and numbers added to the facade of Kenan Stadium. The former Associated Press first-team All-Americas include Harris Barton, Brian Blados, Irv "Huck" Holdash, Bob Lacey, Paul Severin and Julius Peppers, and the additional UNC selections on the ACC's 50th Anniversary squad are Amos Lawrence and Kelvin Bryant.
During coming weeks the "elite eight" will be individually profiled during Coach Bunting's weekly show.
That's Saturday at 9:00 A.M. on Fox Sports South.
A re-edited verison of the show, featuring game highlights and a weekly game ball giveway, can be seen each Sunday at 12:00 Noon, only in the Triangle, on WTVD, Channel 11, in Durham.
