Carolina Women's Golf Finishes Third In The ACC Tournament

Clemmons, NC - The Carolina women's golf team dropped one spot in the final round of the ACC Tournament to finish in third place with a total score of 861. Senior Meaghan Francella, of Port Chester, NY, fired an even par 71 on Sunday to finish in second place only two strokes behind individual champion Brittany Lang of Duke. Ashley Prange, a senior from Noblesville, Ind., also played well for the Tar Heels. Prange shot a four under par 69 in the final round of competition to secure third place among the individuals.
The Duke Blue Devils won the 2004 ACC Tournament with a total score of 838. By finishing ahead of the Tar Heels, Duke earned a Carlyle Cup point to make the score 14-10, Duke.
