2004 NFL Update: Week Two

Action during week two of 2004 NFL season included a stellar performance from former Tar Heel Julius Peppers who made six tackles and two sacks as the Carolina Panthers rebounded from their opening game loss to the Packers with a 28-17 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Peppers' former Carolina teammate and current wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders, Ronald Curry, caught five passes for 89-yards including one 43-yard touch down reception in the Raiders' 13-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Also, David Thornton of the Indianapolis Colts, had nine tackles and three assists in the Colts 31-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Alge Crumpler, Atlanta Falcons - started at tight end and had three receptions for 49-yards in the Falcons' 34-14 victory over the Rams.
Ronald Curry, Oakland Raiders - substituted at wide receiver and caught five passes totaling 89-yards including a 43-yard touchdown reception and had one kickoff return for 10-yards in the Raiders' 13-10 victory over the Bills.
Russell Davis, Arizona Cardinals - started at nose tackle and had five tackles and one assist in the Cardinals' 12-23 loss to the Patriots.
Ebenezer Ekuban, Cleveland Browns - substituted at defensive end and had five tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and recovered one fumble in the Browns' 12-19 loss to the Cowboys.
Greg Ellis, Dallas Cowboys - started at defensive end and had four tackles, one assist and one sack in the Cowboys' 19-12 victory over the Browns.

William Henderson, Green Bay Packers - substituted at full back and had one reception for 13-yards and made one tackle on special teams in Green Bay's 10-21 loss to the Bears.

David Thornton, Indianapolis Colts - started at line backer and had nine tackles, three assists in the Colts' 31-17 victory over the Titans.
