NFL Update: Week 11

After 11 weeks of play, three former Tar Heels remain undefeated in the 2005 NFL season. Jeff Saturday, Dexter Reid, David Thornton and the Indianapolis Colts went on to a 10-0 record after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Willie Parker and Alge Crumpler led the way in individual performances for former Tar Heels in Week 11. Parker scored the only touchdown of the day for the Steelers on an 11-yard pass from quarterback Tommy Maddox. Crumpler caught a four-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Michael Vick to give the Falcons the lead over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third quarter.
Week 11 performances by former Tar Heels in the NFL:
Sam Aiken, Buffalo Bills - Played wide receiver and had one catch for 15 yards in the Bills' 48-10 loss to the San Diego Chargers.
Ethan Albright, Washington Redskins - Played long snapper and recorded one tackle on special teams in the Redskins' 16-13 loss to the Oakland Raiders.
Dre' Bly, Detroit Lions - Not active and will be out three to four weeks after undergoing surgery to fix his dislocated wrist.
Jason Brown, Baltimore Ravens - Did not play.
Alge Crumpler, Atlanta Falcons - Started at tight end and caught five passes for 49 yards, including a four-yard touchdown catch, in the Falcons' 30-27 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Ronald Curry, Oakland Raiders - Out for the season due to Achilles tendon injury incurred during week two.
Russell Davis, Arizona Cardinals - Out for the season due to a torn bicep incurred in week three against the Seattle Seahawks.
Ebenezer Ekuban, Denver Broncos - Played defensive end and recorded one tackle in the Broncos' 27-0 win over the New York Jets.
Greg Ellis, Dallas Cowboys - Started at defensive end and had four tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in the Cowboys' 20-7 victory over the Detroit Lions.
Madison Hedgecock, St. Louis Rams - Started at fullback and made his first career catch for nine yards in the Rams' 38-28 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
William Henderson, Green Bay Packers - Started at fullback and caught one pass for eight yards in the Packers' 20-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He also recorded one tackle on special teams.
Zach Hilton, New Orleans Saints - Played tight end and had six receptions for 72 yards, including a 25-yard catch, in the Saints' 24-17 loss to the New England Patriots
Sedrick Hodge, New Orleans Saints - Played linebacker and recorded six tackles in the Saints' 24-17 loss to the New England Patriots.
Vonnie Holliday, Miami Dolphins - Started at defensive tackle and recorded three tackles in the Dolphins' 22-0 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
Keith Newman, Minnesota Vikings - Started at linebacker and had two tackles in the Vikings' 20-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
Willie Parker, Pittsburgh Steelers - Started at halfback and had 18 carries for 59 yards in the Steelers' 16-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He also caught two passes for 22 yards, one of which was for an 11-yard touchdown.
Julius Peppers, Carolina Panthers - Started at defensive and had three tackles in the Panther' 13-3 loss to the Chicago Bears.
Jeff Reed, Pittsburgh Steelers - Starting kicker in the Steelers' 16-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He kicked two field goals from 44 and 37 yards and made one extra point.
Dexter Reid, Indianapolis Colts - Played defensive back in the Colts' 45-37 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis Colts - Started at center for an offense that rushed for 92 yards and passed for 365 yards in the Colts' 45-37 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Gerald Sensabaugh, Jacksonville Jaguars - Played safety in the Jaguars' 31-28 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
Brian Simmons, Cincinnati Bengals - Started at linebacker and recorded three tackles in the Bengals' 45-37 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Ryan Sims, Kansas City Chiefs - Not active due to injury.
David Thornton, Indianapolis Colts - Started at linebacker and had one tackle in the Colts' 25-37 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. He also recorded three tackles on special teams.
Jeb Terry, Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Did not play
Michael Waddell, Tennessee Titans - Started at nickel back and recorded five tackles in the Titans' 31-28 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars
Bracy Walker, Detroit Lions - Played safety in the Lions' 20-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Greg Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers - Played long snapper in the Steelers' 16-13 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
