The University of North Carolina football team will play its annual Spring Game on Saturday, April 2 at Kenan Stadium. The contest between the Blue and White will begin at 12 noon. Admission is free.
Fans are encouraged to spend Saturday in Chapel Hill with several athletic events on campus and a Final Four viewing party beginning at the Smith Center at approximately 5 p.m.
As in previous years, the football game will consist of four 12-minute quarters. The first three quarters will be played with a normal clock, starting and stopping as usual. A running clock will be used in the final quarter.
On Tuesday evening at the Kenan Football Center, the 2005 spring captains drafted the two teams for Saturday's game. Drafting for the Blue team was linebacker Tommy Richardson, quarterback Matt Baker and defensive tackle Chase Page. Wide receiver Wallace Wright, offensive guard Kyle Ralph and linebacker Doug Justice chose the members of the White team.
Fans can enter Kenan Stadium through Gates 2 or 6. Parents of current football student-athletes should enter through Gate 3 and proceed to lunch in the North Box. North Carolina football lettermen should enter at Gate 5 and will enjoy lunch on the Kenan Football Center Concourse. Rams Club members should enter at Gate 2 where lunch will be served just inside the stadium gates.
