Countdown to Camp: Fan Input Wanted

One of the fundamental parts of the Carolina athletic experience is a fall Saturday at Kenan Stadium. The walk from Franklin Street to the stadium, the band parading through the parking lot, spending time at Tar Heel Town with family and friends, meeting the team for the Old Well Walk, and the stadium nestled in the pines combine to create the quintessential college football experience.
Of course, some of those same experiences are also part of the reason why Kenan Stadium can present some challenges for fans. Its on-campus location makes parking more difficult, and the lack of wide open parking lots can force fans who want to tailgate to be creative.
With the start of training camp approximately two months away, it's time to start thinking about football. We'll have a new Tar Heel football-related story every Thursday. It's a series called "Countdown to Camp" and we hope it'll get you better acquainted with your gridiron Heels as they prepare for a very challenging 2005 schedule. The first Countdown to Camp story will appear next Thursday, June 16, and throughout the summer you'll get player and coach interviews, personnel updates, and much more.
In the meantime, we want to hear from you. Send us an email describing your typical Kenan gameday routine. We want to know it all---from the best "secret" parking spots to your tailgate activities. We're especially interested in your parking habits. What time do you arrive? Do you have a parking pass? If not, where do you park? Where's the best lot you've found for hanging out with other Carolina fans (pass or non-pass)? The best submissions will be used in some Carolina preseason literature, and it's possible that we'll reprint some of the best here on the site.
