Aug. 30, 2005
Starting Thursday between 7-8 p.m., you can call toll free 1-866-TAR HEEL and talk football with the head coach of the Tar Heels.
Coach Bunting's weekly radio call-in show on the Tar Heel Sports Network will again originate from Lucy's at the corner of Henderson and Rosemary Streets in downtown Chapel Hill. Area fans are welcome to come enjoy the show at the site and visit personally with the coach.
The first weekly TV show of the new season can be seen Saturday at 9:00 a.m. on Fox Sports South, and then Sunday at 11:00 a.m., exclusively in the Triangle, on WTVD ABC 11 in Durham.
During his first show, Coach Bunting will break down the team's pre-season prospects on both sides of the ball. A brand new segment--Football 101--will this week feature Jeff Connors, Director of Strength and Conditioning, who will detail the players' physical preparation for the coming season. The player spotlight will showcase quarterback Matt Baker, who wore a wireless microphone during a recent practice to give you a better feel for what it's like to run the offense.
Roy Williams, who'll have the basketball Tar Heels in Nassau this weekend for a couple of exhibition games, visited a recent practice, and you'll get to hear what he said to the football team and Coach Bunting.
Come Monday and Coach Bunting's series of five-minute daily shows begin on the Tar Heel Sports Network. You can also access those shows by going to tarheelblue.com and clicking the button for Woody's Daily Shows.
