Edwards Named ACC Offensive Back Of The Week

North Carolina tailback Barrington Edwards has been named ACC Offensive Back of the Week for his performance in North Carolina's 31-24 victory over NC State. Edwards rushed for 129 yards on 25 carries and scored one touchdown against the ACC's second-ranked defense. He got North Carolina started early with a career-best 62-yard run on the second play of the game. With North Carolina trailing by 10 in the third quarter, the sophomore from Bowie, Md., capped an 80-yard Tar Heel drive with a two-yard touchdown run.
