Tar Heels Earn Top-10 Finishes At Head Of The Chattahoochee

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The North Carolina rowing team raced at the Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta Saturday, taking top-10 finishes in both the Championship Eights and the Championship Fours races
Tar Heel eights finished seventh (16:10.5) and 15th (16:28.4) in their race. The lineup for UNC's A boat was Shannon Wilson (coxswain), Lisy McIntee, Megan McMullin, Adriann Spinks, Christin Cotten, Mary Sasson, Ruby Woodside, Emily Williams and Laura Rock. In the UNC B boat were Vashti Chandler (coxswain), Eugenia Delbono, Megan Mitzel, Maegan Wareham, Priscilla Poor, Sarah Low, Chandler Sours, Liz Gardner and Katie Wood.
Tennessee won the race in a time of 15:35.7, followed by Tennessee's B boat,?Central Florida, Clemson, SMU, Cincinnati and UNC. In the eighth through 10th spots were Kansas, Duke and Central Florida's B boat.
In the Championship Fours race, UNC boats finished seventh (17:32.5), 15th (17:56.4) and 22nd (18:45.3). The lineup for UNC's A boat was Wilson (coxswain), McIntee, McMullin, Spinks and Cotten. In the B boat were Chandler (coxswain), Woodside, Mitzel, Rock and Williams. In the C boat were Jasmine Miller (coxswain), Kathryn Winz, Maeghan Sill, Layne Johnson and Cari Gleisner.
