NFL Update: Week 9

Coming into Week 9 at home against the Atlanta Falcons, Dre' Bly had yet to record an interception. He changed all that Sunday as he picked off a Michael Vick pass midway through the second quarter that helped put the Lions up 10 on the favored Falcons. Bly intercepted the ball on Atlanta's 10-yard line and returned it the two. Kevin Jones then promptly ran in for a score to put the Lions up 17-7, a lead they would not relinquish, as the final score was 30-14. The interception was Bly's first of the year.
Sam Aiken, Buffalo Bills - Not active in Week 9.
Ethan Albright, Washington Redskins - Served as the long snapper for the Redskins in their 22-19 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
Dre' Bly, Detroit Lions - Started at cornerback for the Lions and had one interception and three pass defenses in the Lions' 30-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Jason Brown, Baltimore Ravens - Started at left guard for the Ravens in their 26-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Alge Crumpler, Atlanta Falcons - Started at tight end and led the Falcons in receiving with four catches for 47 yards and one touchdown as the Falcons dropped to the Detroit Lions, 30-14. Crumpler has now caught a touchdown pass in three straight games and leads all tight ends in touchdowns with six.
Ronald Curry, Oakland Raiders - Played wide receiver and had two catches for 17 yards as the Raiders were shutout by the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football, 16-0.
Russell Davis, Seattle Seahawks - Played defensive tackle and recorded one tackle in the Seahawks' 16-0 win over the Oakland Raiders.
Ebenezer Ekuban, Denver Broncos - Started at right defensive end and recorded one tackle in the Broncos win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, 17-7.
Greg Ellis, Dallas Cowboys - Started at linebacker and recorded two tackles as the Cowboys fell to the Washington Redskins, 22-19.
Madison Hedgecock, St. Louis Rams - Started at fullback for the Rams in their 31-17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
William Henderson, Green Bay Packers - Started at fullback and caught one ball for 11 yards in the Packers' 24-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Vonnie Holliday, Miami Dolphins - Started at defensive tackle and recorded two tackles as the Dolphins handed the Chicago Bears their first loss of the season, 31-13.
Keith Newman, Miami Dolphins - Played linebacker in the Dolphins' 31-13 win over the Bears.
Willie Parker, Pittsburgh Steelers - Started at running back and had 70 yards on 14 rushes with one touchdown, and also reeled in seven catches for 67 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers fell to 2-6 losing to the Denver Broncos, 31-20.
Julius Peppers, Carolina Panthers - Bye week.
Jeff Reed, Pittsburgh Steelers - Converted two field goals from 46 and 29 yards out, missed a 40-yard attempt, and had 2 PATs in the Steelers' 31-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Dexter Reid, Indianapolis Colts - Played defensive back in the Colts' 27-20 win over the New England Patriots.
Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis Colts - Started at center for the Colts as they beat the Patriots, 27-20.
Jonas Seawright, New York Giants - Played defensive tackle in the Giants' 14-10 win over the Houston Texans.
Gerald Sensabaugh, Jacksonville Jaguars - Played safety and recorded one tackle on special teams as the Jaguars beat the Titans, 37-7.
Brian Simmons, Cincinnati Bengals - Not active in Week 9.
Ryan Sims, Kansas City Chiefs - Played defensive tackle as the Chiefs beat the St. Louis Rams, 31-17.
Jeb Terry, Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Not active in Week 9.
David Thornton, Tennessee Titans - Played linebacker as the Titans fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 37-7.
Greg Warren, Pittsburgh Steelers - Served as long snapper for the Steelers in their 31-20 loss to the Denver Broncos.
