*These two teams last met on March 25 with UNC edging the Tigers 4-3. Raian Luchici rallied from 0-3 down in the third set to win six straight games and clinch the match at No. 1 singles. Luchici has won nine of his last 11 singles matches since that victory over Sander Koning.
*Clemson won the doubles point in the first meeting. Clemson is 15-2 after winning the doubles point this year and 8-8 when it loses the point. The Tar Heels have lost only only once all season after winning the doubles point--that loss coming at Miami.
*The last three meetings had been decided by 4-3 scores.
*Carolina earned its first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance since 1993, while the Tigers last advanced in 2004.
*The win today tied the most wins in school history at North Carolina, originally set by the 1992 team (25-5).
