Fogleman And Stone Claim Doubles Flight At UNCW-Landfall Invitational

WILMINGTON, N.C.- Competing in the UNCW-Landfall Invitational this weekend, Taylor Fogleman and David Stone of the University of North Carolina men's tennis team each claimed titles. Fogleman claimed the Teal Flight singles, while Fogleman and Stone won Flight A in doubles.
Fogleman, a sophomore from New Orleans, La., topped East Carolina University's Aleksey Kochetov in the finals 6-1, 4-6, (10-6). To advance to the finals, Fogleman defeated Eric Claggett of CSU and host's UNCW Grant Holland, respectively. Stone, a native of Greensboro, N.C., also advanced to the finals in the Gold Flight, but fell to host's UNCW Caio Piacentini.
In doubles action, Fogleman and Stone edged North Carolina State University's David Rozek and Christian Welte 8-5, claiming the Flight A doubles title. Fogleman and Stone defeated Stephen Whitwell and Aleksey Kochetov of ECU and Caio Piacentini and Grant Holland of UNCW, respectively, advancing to the finals.
