Sexton Named ACC Co-Rookie Of The Week

North Carolina quarterback Cam Sexton and Virginia Tech defensive end William Wall share ACC Rookie of the Week honors. Sexton, a 6-1, 185-pound freshman from Laurinburg, N.C., made his first career start Saturday and completed 14 of 20 attempts for 265 yards and two touchdowns as the Tar Heels defeated Furman 45-42. Sexton averaged 18.9 yards per completion and was never sacked. Wall, a 6-3, 243-pound freshman from Washington, D.C., led the Hokie defensive line with five tackles, including three sacks, as Tech posted its second shutout of the season, a 36-0 win over Duke. Playing in just his second collegiate game, White also had a forced fumble.
