Thigpen, Browning, Connors Retained On Carolina Football Staff

Davis retains three from previous staff.
Chapel Hill, N.C. ----- North Carolina head coach Butch Davis announced Tuesday that assistant coaches Tommy Thigpen and Ken Browning and strength and conditioning coordinator Jeff Connors have been retained on the UNC football staff.
Thigpen, a former All-Atlantic Coast Conference linebacker at North Carolina, has coached linebackers at UNC since 2005. Browning, the longest tenured assistant coach at Carolina, has coached 13 seasons at UNC. Connors, Carolina's Assistant Athletic Director for Strength and Conditioning, has been with the Tar Heels for the past six seasons.
Davis did not announce what positions Thigpen and Browning would coach in 2007.
