2008 Season Ticket Renewals Available Now!

Chapel Hill, N.C. ------ Season ticket renewals for North Carolina's 2008 home football games are currently on sale. A special rate of $280 will be available during an exclusive two-month period from January 2 through February 29. This discounted rate is for Rams Club members and 2007 UNC football season ticket holders only. Season tickets ordered during this early period carry the same $40 per game price as 2007.
Beginning March 1, season ticket renewals and new season tickets will be available for $315 each.
The 2008 home schedule include games with Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, NC State, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Connecticut and McNeese State. The 2008 schedule will be released by the Atlantic Coast Conference office at the end of January.

"As an incentive to Rams Club members and our previous season ticket holders we are offering a price break for those who order their tickets early," says Associate Athletic Director for Tickets Clint Gwaltney. "We appreciate the support of our loyal fans and encourage all Carolina fans to join the Rams Club."
Fans who are not currently Rams Club members may take advantage of the
discounted fare by joining the Rams Club for as little as $100 per year. Go
to www.ramsclub.com In 2008, the Tar Heels welcome back 10 starters on offense, including
all-star candidates Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Tate at wide receiver, Greg
Little at tailback, Garrett Reynolds at offensive tackle and T.J. Yates at
quarterback. Defensively, Carolina returns eight starters, including
freshman All-Americas Deunta Williams at safety, Marvin Austin at defensive
tackle and Quan Sturdivant at linebacker.
The 2008 home schedule promises to be one of the best in school history.
Highlighting the non-conference opponents is Notre Dame, which will visit
Chapel Hill for just the sixth time overall and the first time since 1975.
Connecticut, ranked No. 25 in the BCS, is 9-3 this season and will face ACC
rival Wake Forest in the Meineke Car Care Bowl in December. McNeese State
finished 11-1 in the Football Championship Subdivision and was ranked third
in the country heading into the playoffs.
In conference play, the Tar Heels will play host to defending ACC champion
Virginia Tech, bowl-bound Georgia Tech and Boston College and in-state rival
NC State. Virginia Tech is 11-2 and headed to the Orange Bowl to face
Kansas. Georgia Tech was 7-5 in 2007 and will face Fresno State in the
Humanitarian Bowl. Boston College was 10-3 in the regular season, losing to
Virginia Tech in the ACC title game, and will play Michigan State in the
Champs Sports Bowl.
"Our game day atmosphere in 2007 was awesome and it really made a difference
to our players," said head coach Butch Davis. "I'm already excited about
the chance to play in Kenan Stadium again on August 30. I know our fans
are looking forward to seeing a young and exciting team represent them this
fall."
In 2007, North Carolina sold out five of its six home games and averaged
more than 57,000 fans, the highest average in more than a decade.
Attendance was up nearly 18 percent from the 2006 season.
