Former North Carolina quarterback Matt Baker recently signed with the New Orleans Saints and on Saturday, he'll get a chance to show off for the coaches in a preseason game against Cincinnati. Baker, who said he was surprised to be released by Dallas after serving as the team's No. 3 signal caller in 2006, is grateful for the opportunity in New Orleans.
Baker sat patiently behind record-setting quarterback Darian Durant during his career at North Carolina. As the full-time starter in 2005, Baker threw for 2,345 yards, the fourth-best single-season mark in school history.
