Dail Honored With CPL Weekly Pitching Award

RALEIGH, N.C. - The Coastal Plain League announced Tuesday that Wilson's B.J. Dail and Chris Gloor of New Bern were honored as Rawlings Co-Pitchers of the Week for week nine of action (July 30 - August 5).
On the mound, Dail, a rising sophomore at North Carolina, pitched a complete game shutout July 31 against Thomasville. Over innings, the 6-2, 205-pound right-hander scattered just three hits and struck out seven to give him a perfect 0.00 ERA and 1-0 record. Dail also held opposing batters to a low .097 average against him.
This summer, Dail owns a 1.77 ERA and has fanned 63 batters against just 15 walks in 56 innings. Opponents are batting just .172 against him on the season.
