Adams Back In The Bigs

Former North Carolina All-America Russ Adams was recalled by the Toronto Blue Jays Aug. 17 and has played well in his return to the majors. After batting .262 with 11 home runs and 54 RBI in Triple A Syracuse this season, Adams has hit .292 (7-25) in 15 games with Toronto.
Adams is the sixth former Tar Heel to play in the majors this season, joining Chris Iannetta, Andrew Miller, Brian Roberts, Paul Shuey and Kyle Snyder.
