Carolina Set To Host UNC Tournament

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina softball team will host the UNC Tournament this weekend (Sept. 29-30) at Williams Field to close out its fall competition. The Tar Heels will face Campbell and East Carolina on Saturday before taking the field against Charlotte and Pfeiffer on Sunday.
Carolina is 1-0 in the fall season with a 4-0 win over UNC-Wilmington on Sunday, Sept. 23 in Wilmington, N.C. The Tar Heels will face a couple tough tests this weekend as they do battle with four state rivals. After the tournament the Tar Heels will continue to practice into the middle of October before starting preparations for the 2008 season which opens on February 8-10 in Chapel Hill with the Tar Heel Invitational.

2:15 p.m. - Charlotte vs. Carolina
4:30 p.m. - Carolina vs. Pfeiffer
