CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Emily LeGette was the hero yet again as she had her second walk off of the season, this time an RBI single to complete a seventh inning comeback.

The game started fast for the Tar Heels with Sanaa Thompson leading things off with a homer to left, a few batters later Michele Tarpey blasted a two-run shot to make it 3-0.

Boston College punched back with a five spot in the second inning to take a 5-3 lead.

UNC fought back in the third inning with a Tarpey fielder's choice. In the fourth BC hit a three-run shot to make it 8-4 in the fourth.

UNC would claw back in the fifth, plating two runs to cut the deficit 8-6 on the bats of Rayna Blackwell and Raegan Jennings.

The Eagles got a run back in the sixth, but Shelby Barbee got the run right back with a sac-fly to make it 9-7 heading to the seventh.

Needing a bit of magic, Kiannah Pierce stepped to the plate to lead off the seventh. She sent the first pitch to deep right center field for her first home run of the season to cut the deficit to just one.

After that, Rayna Blackwell reached on a fielder's choice and Sydney Horton came in to pinch run. Lindsay Lumsden reached via an error to set Sanaa Thompson up with first and second and just one out. She ripped the first pitch to a diving shortstop who couldn't make the play and Horton came around to score. After a fly out, Emily LeGette stepped to the plate with the winning run on second base. She sent the 2-0 pitch right back up the middle, Reece Outlaw motored around to score and a mob of Tar Heels greeted LeGette between first and second base to celebrate the 16th consecutive win to open the season.

This was LeGette's second walk off of the year
Three home runs brings the season total to 36 only 16 games into the season
Last season the 36th home run was hit on March 23rd, 33 games into the season
