For the second straight year, Sports Illustrated's Dr. Z has praised former UNC offensive lineman Jason Brown for his outstanding play at guard for the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens didn't have a lot of success on the field this year, going just 5-11, but Brown was one of the few bright spots. Says Z of Brown, "He's a 6-3, 320-pound bowling ball, and when he hits 'em, they fly."
Dr. Z (Paul Zimmerman) gives Brown the second highest grade of all offensive guards. Brown was back in Chapel Hill this week, working out in the Kenan Football Center weight room.
Also receiving top marks from Zimmerman is Jeff Saturday (UNC '97), the top-rated center. Saturday is headed to his third Pro Bowl this season. It's hard to believe Saturday was once cut in his first attempt to make the league.
