1. Where do resident campers stay?
All resident campers will be staying in Carmichael Dorm
2. What is the supervision ratio in the dorm?
The Junior Campers have one adult per suite. (There are four rooms to each suite and there are two campers per room). The grade 9-12 campers have one adult per every other suite. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE DORM AT NIGHT-THERE IS A CURFEW WITH A ROOM CHECK.
3. Can my son room with his friend?
All roommate assignments are made at check-in. In order to room together, roommates need to check in the dorm together.
4. Are the dorm rooms air conditioned.
YES.
5. Are the Two Day Skill/Lineman Camp and Individual /Lineman Camp just for linemen?
NO. They are for all positions except kicking. Players will be separated into the position they chose and will be given instruction for that position.
6. Can you be taught more than one position in Skills Camp/Individual Camp?
YES, however, when you split time, there is less time spent per position.
7. What is the difference in the Two day Skills/Lineman Camp and the Individual/Lineman Camp?
The main difference is the Individual/Lineman Camp offers an additional day of instruction in which you can build on what you've learned the previous two days. Repetition is the best teacher.
8. Is one camp recommended over another for different positions?
NO.
9. Do campers need to bring helmets and shoulder pads.
Junior Campers do not need to bring helmets or shoulder pads. Older campers do not need to bring shoulder pads. They are strongly encouraged to bring their helmet, but they are not required.
10. Do campers participate in game situations?
For campers grades 9-12 there is competition based on the position they play (not 11 on 11). For linemen may be a 1 on 1 pass rush vs pass protections. For skill positions it may be 1 on 1 pass routes vs defending those routes. Also there are some touch football games that emphasize competition and some conditioning.
11. How much time is spent enhancing individual skills?
80% of the camp instruction time is spent on enhancing individual skills - there is a small amount spent on speed and agility enhancement. They see video presentation of college players doing some of the same drills and skills properly.
12. Can parents watch the campers practice?
Parents are welcome to view any of the camp sessions, however we do not encourage you to eat meals with the campers.
