Tar Heels Shift Schedule For Doubleheader With Elon

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina will play a single game against Elon on Wednesday instead of the scheduled doubleheader due to cold weather forecast for the evening hours on Wednesday. The Tar Heels and Phoenix will meet at 3 p.m. on Wednesday and again on March 25 at 6 p.m., also in Chapel Hill to wrap up the pair of games. Elon enters the game 6-4 on the season, while Carolina comes in with a 12-3 mark and recently entered both top 25 polls at No. 23.
After a 4-1 week, including a series win at Florida State over the weekend, North Carolina entered both the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll as the No. 23 team in the nation.
