Elon hurler Ken Ferrer allowed three runs on seven hits striking out five in 7.2 innings of work. The Mount's Josh Vittek hit a two-run home run in the top of the eighth to cut the lead to three runs. Vittek's home run was his 20th of the season and now has 64 RBI on the year. Mount St. Marys is eliminated from the NCAA baseball tournament. Elon will face the loser of UNC-UNC-Wilmington tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Alex White will be on the hill for UNC in game two of the Cary Regional.
