The Seahawks recorded their first hit of the day as Bobby Leeper sent a two-strike pitch through the right side of the infield. Elon was issued their first error of the Cary Regional on a botched fielding attempt by second baseman Donny Jobe. Other NCAA Regional action is under way as Florida State and Bucknell are scoreless after one inning in the elimination game. Missouri and Mississippi are also scoreless in the fifth inning, with the winner facing top-ranked Miami later today. Just down the road in Raleigh, South Carolina leads James Madison 2-0 in the second inning for a right to meet NC State at 6:00 p.m. this evening. ACC teams are nearing Super Regionals as NC State, Georgia Tech, Miami, and North Carolina all need one win to advance. Virginia and Florida State need two victories to advance as the ACC has not won a National Championship since 1995.
