Sunday's win over LSU improved Carolina to 6-1 against the Southeastern Conference in last three NCAA Tournaments.
The Tar Heels claimed their first-ever win over LSU Sunday. The teams had met just twice previously with the Tigers posting wins in 1990 and 1997.

Every Tar Heel in the starting lineup recorded either a base hit or an RBI over the first three innings.
