First Pitch Dinner To Kick Off 2009 Season

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Supporters and fans of the University of North Carolina baseball program will have a unique opportunity to kick off the 2009 season at the first-annual First Pitch Dinner, slated for Jan. 31, 2009 at The Carolina Club on the UNC campus.
The featured speaker of the event will be Boston Red Sox manager Terry Francona, who has led his team to World Series titles twice in the last five seasons.
Attendees will also have the chance to meet the 2009 Carolina baseball team and will share in the excitement as the new Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium prepares to open.
The event will begin with a 6:30 p.m. social followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Individual tickets cost $75, and tables of eight seated with a UNC player are $600.
To secure a seat at this exciting event, contact Kim Jones with the Rams Club at (919) 843-6433. All tickets must be purchased by Jan. 21, 2009, but the event is likely to sell out so fans are encouraged to buy theirs as soon as possible.
Business attire is requested. Parking will be available in the Rams Head Deck for a fee.
