Six Tar Heels Advance to Singles Round of 16, Doubles Team in Semis

CHAPEL HILL - Six UNC players advanced to the round of 16 in the singles portion of the ITA Carolinas Regional, and a Carolina doubles team reached the semifinals.
Senior Clay Donato and junior Stefan Hardy are joined in the round of 16 by two sophomores, Brennan Boyajian and Cameron Ahari, and two freshmen, Jose Hernandez and Ryan Noble.
Donato and Hardy advanced to the doubles semis with a win against Clemson's Carloz Alvarez and Derek DiFazio Saturday. The pair will face another ACC team, Duke's Reid Carleton and Henrique Cunha, on Sunday.
One of the eight round of 16 matches on Sunday will feature an all-Carolina matchup of Hardy and Ahari. The two square off at 11 a.m.
