Student Tailgate & Other Events Set For Thursday

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The University of North 2009 Senior Class will host a "Feast Before The Fight" tailgate in front of Carroll Hall Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. Liquid Pleasure will perform live and free food for UNC students will be available while supplies last. Free rally towels, t-shirts and other giveaways will be available at the tailgate.
At approximately 5:45 p.m., the football team will conduct the traditional Old Well Walk through Tar Heel Town and into Kenan Stadium.
Approximately 5,000 t-shirts will be given away to students in the Tar Pit seating section along with 2,000 light-up Pom Poms.
Just prior to kickoff, Terri Houston, UNC's Director of Recruitment and Multicultural Progams, will sing the national anthem. She will be accompanied on keyboard by North Carolina Chancellor Holden Thorp.
The UNC Marching Band will be joined by Liquid Pleasure for a special halftime performance.
