Willis Officially Joins Tar Heels

Freshman Brandon Willis, a defensive lineman from Duncan, S.C., has signed with the Tar Heels and is enrolled for the spring semester. Willis is the fifth student-athlete to enroll in January, joining teammates D.J. Bunn, James Hurst, Sean Fitzpatrick and T.J. Leifheit.
Willis played in the U.S. Army High School All-America game in San Antonio recently and is ranked one of the top 10 defensive tackle prospects in the nation by every recruiting service. As a senior at Byrnes High School in South Carolina, Willis had 127 tackles, including 13 sacks, and was named first-team all-state.
