- Quarterback T.J. Yates finished 12 of 21 for 140 yards and two interceptions. The senior quarterback has now completed 646 of 1058 attempts for 7594 yards and 49 touchdowns in his career, moving him into 17th place in ACC history in passing yards. Yates is also second in UNC history in attempts, completions, yards and TDs.
- Wide receiver Dwight Jones finished with four catches for 74 yards, his second-best career effort in terms of yards. Last week Jones had a career-high 198 receiving yards on a career-best seven catches.
- Tailback Johnny White rushed for 85 yards on eight carries and scored UNC's only touchdown of the night. His 76-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was the longest run of the season for Carolina and the longest for UNC since Willie Parker's 77-yard touchdown against Maryland in 2001. It ties four others for the 20th-longest run in school history.
- Place kicker Casey Barth converted the lone extra point attempt, giving him 56 consecutive made PATs. He also made a 19-yard field goal.
- Carolina scored on its opening offensive drive for the third consecutive week and the fourth time this season. The Tar Heels had opening-drive touchdowns against both Clemson and Virginia, and a first-possession field goal against Georgia Tech.
- Senior safety Da'Norris Searcy tallied his third interception of the season in the first quarter, giving him three in four games after missing the first four games of the season. It was the fourth interception of his career.
