CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- Nationally ranked North Carolina will look to build on their season-high seven game win streak hosting one midweek contest against College of Charleston Wednesday. The Tar Heels and Cougars will meet at 6 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium Wednesday.
College of Charleston (35-13, 19-8 Socon) is fresh off a series win over The Citadel this past weekend. The Cougars rank second in the Southern Conference and will play USC Upstate Tuesday before making the trip to Chapel Hill.
Carolina will start junior Greg Holt (2-2, 6.37 ERA) opposite the Cougars' Matt Pegler (2-0, 7.04 ERA) Wednesday evening. The meeting will just be the second in the teams' histories, as Carolina defeated College of Charleston 12-7 in 2005.
