Chapel Hill, N.C. ----- Tickets to North Carolina's Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game vs. LSU in Atlanta on Sept. 4 are now on sale to the public. Lower level ($90), Mezzanine ($90) and upper level ($65) tickets are available for purchase on TarHeelBlue.com.
The game will be played in the Georgia Dome and will be broadcast nationally on ABC at 8 p.m. The ticket office is no longer taking ticket requests and by purchasing online the purchaser will know the seat assignment before the transaction is completed.
Billed as the "Daytona 500 of College Football," the annual Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game matches two top teams in the best neutral-site match-up of the first Saturday of every season. This season's game features North Carolina of the Atlantic Coast Conference vs. LSU of the Southeastern Conference.
Tickets are evenly distributed to the teams, splitting the Georgia Dome down the middle to create a true neutral site environment.
Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game Nuggets:
• Both LSU and North Carolina are projected in the pre-season Top 25. This is the third straight year the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game has matched Top 25 teams to open the college football season.
• The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game creates a BCS-style atmosphere with a weekend of activities including the indoor FanZone presented by Coca-Cola Zero and the Kickoff Cookoff, outdoor tailgating experience.
• ESPN's College GameDay Built by The Home Depot has appeared at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game two straight years, marking it as the weekend's biggest match-up.
