The Department of Athletics would like to remind you of the following information as you prepare for Saturday's football game in Kenan Stadium.
Transportation and Parking
Certain parking lots will be reserved or have spaces reserved for Rams Club and Athletic Department parking. Limited general public parking is available on game days. Fans are encouraged to arrive early.
For complete transportation and parking information, visit the Department of Public Safety (PDF).
For information on Park and Ride transportation options, visit Tar Heel Express.
Pregame and Stadium Entry
eginning three hours prior to kickoff, be sure to visit Tar Heel Town for food, games and an opportunity to see the team at the Old Well Walk. The Old Well Walk begins 2 ½ hours prior to kickoff. For complete gameday information, visit www.tarheelblue.com.
As you prepare to enter Kenan Stadium, we ask that you keep the following items in mind:
- Due to construction in the East End Zone, there will be no direct access from the Rams Head parking deck to Kenan Stadium. In addition, pedestrian traffic patterns will be disrupted due to the construction. Patrons should access the North Side of the stadium through Gates 1, 2, or 3. To access the South Side, please use Gates 5 or 6.
- The gameday Ticket Office has moved from the East End Zone to Gate 3 (near the bell tower.) The gameday Ticket Office will open beginning 2 1/2 hours prior to kickoff.
- Based on collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Athletics has worked with the Department of Public Safety to develop a list of prohibited items, including umbrellas (new for 2010) and backpacks or large bags, artificial noisemakers, coolers, or strollers. For a complete list of prohibited items, please visit Kenan Stadium Entry Policies. UNC Athletics and the Department of Public Safety thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
- "Tar Heel Tracker" is a new program offered to fans attending the game with children. Interested patrons should visit the "Tar Heel Tracker" table located at Tar Heel Town or inside Gate 3 prior to the game. A Rep will provide children a wristband containing their parent/guardian's name & seat location, making it easier to reunite the parties should they be separated.
