Senior wide receiver DwightJones finished with six catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. Jones extended his UNC single-season record forreceptions to 85, 11 more than former teammate Hakeem Nicks' 74 in 2007.
Jones scored on a 22-yardtouchdown reception on the first drive of the game, his school-record-tying12th scoring catch of the season. Jones matched Nicks, who caught 12 touchdownpasses in 2008.
Jones finishes his careerwith 152 catches and 2,163 receiving yards, good for fifth-most in schoolhistory in both categories.
Sophomore quarterback BrynRenner finished 27 of 42 for 255 yards and three touchdowns. His three scoringthrows, Renner's 24th, 25th and 26th of the season, established a newsingle-season school record for touchdown passes, topping Chris Keldorf's 23 in1996.
Renner finishes his firstseason as a starter 239 of 350 for 3,086 yards and 26 touchdowns. He is justthe second quarterback in school history to throw for at least 3,000 yards in aseason, joining T.J. Yates (3,418 in 2010).
Renner's 239 completionsare the second-most in a single season at Carolina. T.J. Yates had 282 in 2010.
Redshirt freshman tailbackGiovani Bernard rushed 13 times for 31 yards. Bernard finishes the season with 1,253rushing yards, the most ever by a UNC freshman. His 2011 total ranks third on the school's single-season rushing chart,behind only Don McCauley (1970) and Mike Voight (1976).
Thomas Moore made a 21-yardfield goal and three extra point attempts. Moore converted 38 straight PATs toclose the season. Carolina has made 120 consecutive extra points, including aschool record 82 by Casey Barth, who missed the final 10 games of the seasondue to injury.
With 30 yards on Monday,freshman T.J. Thorpe established a new single-season school record for kickoffreturn yardage with 942. Thorpe passes Brandon Tate, who tallied 939 yards in 2007.
