CHAPEL HILL --- Fresh off earning the first series sweep of Florida State in school history, North Carolina (22-12, 5-1 ACC) returns to ACC action Saturday hosting Virginia (15-17, 0-5 ACC) for a three-game set at Anderson Stadium. First pitch of the series is slated for Saturday at 1p.m. All three games will be aired for FREE on Carolina All-Access.

VIRGINIA SERIES NOTES
• North Carolina is 69-28-1 all-time against Virginia dating to the 1984 season.
• Carolina is 8-2 over the last 10 meetings with the Cavaliers.
• Virginia won two of three over UNC last season in Charlottesville, Va. Prior to 2010, Carolina won the last 11 meetings between the two teams.
NOTING THE TAR HEELS
• After sweeping Florida State for the first time in school history, UNC will host Virginia for a three-game set beginning Saturday at 1 p.m. from Anderson Stadium.
• The Tar Heels feature a balanced attack with a .285 team batting average, 2.57 staff ERA and a .955 fielding percentage.
• Junior Kelli Wheeler anchors the attack with a .438 batting average, seven home runs, 22 RBI and nine stolen bases. The junior has registered 15 multi-hit games in 2011.
• Freshman Lori Spingola leads UNC in the circle with a 18-8 mark, 1.59 ERA and 163 strikeouts to just 32 walks.
• Saturday's contest will be the 3rd Annual Strike Out Cancer Game to raise money for ovarian cancer research through the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
NOTING THE CAVALIERS
• Virginia sports a .255 batting average, 4.53 staff ERA and .958 fielding percentage. The Cavaliers have yet to win a league contest, but post impressive wins over then No. 13 Oregon and Hawaii.
• Virginia ranks 15th in the nation in stolen bases with 64 swipes this season.
• The Cavaliers are led by Stephanie Harris' .347 batting average and 20 RBI at the plate.
