Chapel Hill, N.C.- The North Carolina Tar Heels held their first scrimmage of the Spring on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium. The visiting Tar squad scored a run in the top of the tenth to take a 5-4 win over the Heel squad.
The Tar squad scored two runs in the top of the first off Kent Emanuel before Emanuel settled down to throw several scoreless innings. The Heels team then came back with solo runs in the third and fifth innings to tie the score at 2-2 before a two-run Jacob Stallings home run to left put the Heels up 4-2 in the seventh.
The Tar squad rallied with two runs in the top of the ninth to tie the scrimmage at 4-4, then scored the winning run in the tenth.
