Chapel Hill, N.C. - The NCAA has granted University of North Carolina senior fullback Devon Ramsay a hardship waiver for the 2011 season and he will have an additional year of eligibility in 2012.

Ramsay, a native of Red Bank, N.J., tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee in the 2011 season opening victory over James Madison. Ramsay missed the 2007 season with a shoulder injury and was held out of the final nine games of the 2010 season due to the NCAA/UNC investigation.
