Emanuel, Moran Preseason All-Americas

Juniors Kent Emanuel and Colin Moran were named Louisville Slugger Preseason All-Americas on Friday.
Left-handed starting pitcher Kent Emanuel was tabbed for the second team after earning a similar honor from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) a week ago. Emanuel posted an 8-4 record with a 1.96 ERA in 2012.
Third baseman Colin Moran joined Emanuel on the preseason squad as he was named to the third team. Moran paced the Tar Heels at the plate a year ago with a .365 average, .494 slugging percentage and .434 on-base percentage.
Emanuel, Moran and the Tar Heels open the 2013 campaign on Feb. 15 at Boshamer Stadium against Seton Hall.
