Chapel Hill, N.C.- With just one week remaining before Opening Day at the Bosh, the North Carolina Tar Heels held a seven-and-a-half inning scrimmage on Friday afternoon that ended in a 7-7 tie.
The visiting Tar squad trailed 4-1 before scoring three runs in the top of the seventh to tie the score at 4-4. Heel came right back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to go up 7-4 before Tar once again scored three runs in the top of the eighth to tie the score at 7-7. The bottom of the eighth was not played.
Shane Taylor and Kent Emanuel were the two starters. Cody Penny, George Carter, Michael Morin and Tate Parrish also threw.
Hitting ruled the day as the two squads combined for a total of 26 hits
