Tar Heels Scrimmage On Saturday Morning

Chapel Hill, N.C.- The North Carolina Tar Heels held a seven-and-a-half inning scrimmage on a cool Saturday morning that ended in a 6-6 tie at Boshamer Stadium.
The visiting Tar squad trailed 6-4 before scoring two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the score at 6-6. The game ended in the top of the eighth when Grayson Atwood was thrown out at home. The bottom of the eighth was not played.
Chris Munnelly and Chris O'Brien were the two starters. R.C. Orlan, Hobbs Johnson, Jimmy Messer and Trevor Kelley also threw.
The two squads combined for a total of 19 hits
Carolina's next closed scrimmage will be on Sunday afternoon. TarHeelBlue will have exclusive coverage of all of Carolina's preseason scrimmages.
