Blake, Scarboro Earn All-Tournament Honors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--Jordan Scarboro and Ally Blake were named to the 2012 Carolina Classic All-Tournament team for their efforts in leading No. 24 North Carolina to a 2-2 ledger over the weekend and a third-place finish. UNC is now 11-2 on the season.
Blake tallied two hits, two RBI and scored five runs for the Tar Heels. The senior from Concord, N.C., posted a .429 on-base percentage over four games and recorded 27 putouts.
Scarboro compiled a .308 batting average, one home run and a team-high seven RBI in the tournament. The sophomore from Wake Forest, N.C., belted her second career home run in a loss to Notre Dame Sunday afternoon.
Sara Moulton and Madie Eckstrom were named Co-Tournament MVPs after leading Minnesota to a first-place finish with a 3-1 mark.
