Tar Heels Scrimmage On Friday Afternoon

Chapel Hill, N.C.- The visiting Tar squad scored solo runs in the second and seventh innings and three in the fifth to take a 5-0 win over the home Heel squad on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
A pair of lefties started the scrimmage on the mound as Kent Emanuel took the mound for the Heel team while R.C. Orlan started for the Tar squad.
The Tar squad scored three runs in the top of the fifth off of starter Kent Emanuel.
Six pitchers threw in the scrimmage. Besides the two starters, Shane Taylor, Tate Parrish, Mason McCullough and Michael Morin saw action.
Weather permitting, the Tar Heels will scrimmage on both Saturday and Sunday. TarHeelBlue will have exclusive coverage of all of Carolina's preseason scrimmages.
Scrimmage Highlights: The ever-present hustle of Cody Stubbs, who never takes a play off.
